Paul grew up surrounded by the tranquil beauty of New Hampshire’s great outdoors. His creative eye was drawn to woodland details and textures that are often overlooked in the chaos of everyday life. Nature has always been one of his major sources of inspiration. Paul studied fine art for two years at MWCC, spent endless hours in his father’s b&w darkroom developing his compositional skills and appreciation for light & shadow, and was a member of a NH life drawing group before moving to Ocala in 1982. He made a career as a commercial artist & illustrator and continues to this day offering art, graphic design and illustrative services through his design firm, Drawn By The Light, Inc.

Paul’s studio is a mix of art and design space with a refreshing view from his easel into the woods. Outside of the studio Paul enjoys native plants, gardening, photography and family. His recent works are a continued exploration of nature through painting and finely detailed pen & ink drawings.
