Crescent Beach on the Atlantic Ocean is my go-to place to relax. When I am there I often sit and observe the waves, listen to the gulls, and watch the pelicans fly over, and get lost in reverie. This painting is how I imagine a perfect summer day for an imaginary tourist who has left her colorful beach chair for a brief moment but will be returning with a book to read and possibly a cold beverage to drink. She is alone, warm, and happy.
