The ghost crab is always around. We see its various tunnels at beaches, and other dirt paths close to the ocean.
It is hard to get close to the ghost crab, hence the name, alas he has always been a quirky guy to find and observe.
If you are quiet enough, and observe, you will see him slide sideways out of his home, off to find some treasure or more food.
always on the look out for birds of prey, the ghost crab is easily startled; so the quieter you are, the most likely you will meet his Acquaintance.

Ghost crab is a fond memory for children and parents, and frankly anyone who graces summer beaches and finds it tunnels during the heat of Summer to hopefully get a peak at the ghost crab during their stay. Especially if they are tourists and live far away. It is a unique sea creature, and one with an interesting personality, and fun to watch, at least it was for my brother and family and I. I still enjoy watching this curious little creature live amongst much larger sea creatures at the Sea.
