A short statement of the proposed artwork's relationship to the theme of “Summer in the Sun 2" (150-500 words).
The ukulele is the sound of summer 365 days of the year. If you are in the cold of winter just close your eyes and strum a Uke and you are instantly transported on a warm tropical vacation! On the ukulele that I assembled I painted a sun melting into the water in a golden summer sky.
